Our journey together starts with connection—a connection rooted in understanding, empathy, and empowerment.
“Growth is essential to life. I hope always to keep growing into my fullest self and helping others do the same.”
About Ashley Allen
I’m a counselor, expat, life-long learner, wife, and friend who believes life is a never-ending growth journey.
In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to feel disconnected—from ourselves, others, and the things that matter most. I deeply understand how overwhelming that can feel, and I’m here to offer a space where you can slow down, reconnect, and rediscover who you are at your core. My approach is gentle and collaborative; together, we’ll create a safe and nurturing environment where you can explore your feelings, uncover your strengths, and start building the life of connection and love you deserve.
At the heart of my work is the belief that every person has the freedom and ability to shape their life with meaning and purpose. By integrating existential therapy, I help you explore how your values, choices, and search for meaning impact your well-being and relationships. In our sessions, we’ll work together to reconnect you with what truly matters, so that you can live in a way that feels authentic and fulfilling.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people in a variety of mental health settings across Switzerland, working with individuals navigating everything from developmental challenges to life’s everyday struggles. These experiences, including my work with ASK–All Special Kids, Divesana, The Mix, and the Webster Counseling Center, have shaped my trauma-informed, integrative approach. I believe true healing happens when we consider the whole person—their unique story, their relationships, and the ways life has shaped them.
Life is often filled with twists and turns—career changes, family complexities, trauma, and adapting to new environments. These experiences shape each of us in profound ways, and therapeutic work offers a unique opportunity to explore, heal, and grow from them. By focusing on your present moment and the choices available to you, we’ll create a path toward living more fully and authentically.
I’ve learned firsthand that even the most challenging times can be moments of transformation, guiding us toward the life we’re meant to live. It’s my passion to help you find the beauty in your own journey and empower you to embrace growth—so you can live a life filled with more connection, meaning, and peace.
Outside of counseling, you can find me baking sourdough, meditating, spending time with loved ones, or relaxing by the water. These simple joys remind me daily of the beauty in slowing down, savoring life, and staying connected to what truly matters.

How I work
Let’s be real—life can be messy, and we all need a little help making sense of it sometimes. That’s where counseling comes in. It’s not just about figuring things out but about creating space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. My mission is simple: to help you build more meaningful connections—with yourself, with others, and with life.
At the core of my work is the belief that you have the freedom and power to shape your life based on what truly matters to you. Through existential therapy, we’ll explore how your choices, values, and sense of meaning impact the way you experience life’s challenges. This process allows you to reconnect with your inner purpose and make decisions that reflect your authentic self.
I’m here to offer a cozy, non-judgmental space where we can have real conversations about what’s going on in your world. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts and emotions, make sense of the challenges you're facing, and find ways to navigate them that feel right for you. My approach is relationship-focused and trauma-informed, which means we work collaboratively in a way that feels safe, supportive, and true to who you are. You won’t just be heard—you’ll be understood, and we’ll work toward helping you create a life that feels meaningful, connected, and aligned with your values.
Who I work with
As a counselor based in Switzerland, I’m here to support adults at every stage of life, from young adults navigating new challenges to those balancing careers and personal lives, and even those experiencing the transitions of later years. I work with the international community, offering sessions in English so you can feel understood, no matter where you're from.
I believe in creating a space where everyone feels welcome—no matter your background, culture, or experiences. My approach is all about meeting you where you are and offering the kind of support that feels right for you. And if it turns out you need something more specialized, I’ll make sure to connect you with the right people who can help.
